Apprentices Program in Ontario

Be a Red Seal Skilled Trades Apprentice in Ontario today!

An accomplishment to be proud of, having a Red Seal Endorsement is the best credential a tradesperson can acquire and gives an edge in the job market. Beyond Red Seal Skilled Trades being a rewarding career option by way of its contributions to the growth of the nation's economy, skilled tradespeople are in high demand.

Participating in the Red Seals Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Program in Ontario and securing the Red Seal Endorsement immediately enhances the credibility of a tradesperson and is the only credential that provides automatic acknowledgement of skills in any Canadian province or territory, without the need to pursue a series of multiple provincial certifications.

What’s more, is that those who have gained the RSE enjoy both higher wages and higher-calibre jobs, because it clearly signals to an employer that they are an employable tradesperson who possesses the skills for the job and is serious about their trade.

Do You Need Employees?

How the Red Seals Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Program in GTA  benefits you as an employer:

Participation in the Red Seal Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Service in GTA is a great way to attract talent in the increasingly in-demand skilled trades industry and with stats indicating that around 700,000 skilled Canadian tradespeople are expected to retire by 2028, securing the next generation of skilled trade workers via the program is very much encouraged.

Access to existing databases allows employers to conveniently match the best Red Seals skilled trades candidates and apprentices to their business needs in order to make an informed decision on whether to (ideally) employ apprentices at the start of their career or to proceed with seasoned professionals who are interested in being certified.

From a financial incentive perspective, as well as facilitating on-the-job training for apprentices who will rapidly become skilled at a far lower cost than a fully-trained tradesperson, some businesses may also be eligible for grants and/or federal tax credits that are available when one or more apprentices are trained or hired.

About 700,000 skilled trades workers are expected to retire in Canada by 2028. That’s 700,000 good jobs waiting for Canadians. We need Canadians to be able to seize these opportunities, and to have the tools, training and resources they need to thrive. Apprenticeships are one of the best ways to do that.
